Saracens vs Gloucester

At 15:00 on Sunday we will find out if Gloucester really are to be premiership title contenders as they take on reigning champions Saracens. Allianz Park has become a fortress for Saracens with many teams struggling to defeat them there, but Gloucester will be looking to make a real statement and come away with the victory on the road.

Both teams are undefeated going into this game with Saracens sitting at the top of the league with Exeter on 15 points, whilst Gloucester sit on 12 points in 3rd. Gloucester have had some great games and have proved that they can attack and win games and it will be interesting to see if they are capable of this same level of finesse against a top team.

It is Gloucester's sheer force up front that allows them to play in such an attacking way. Their pack has to be one of the strongest in the league. This means that they can easily provide the backs with quick ball which means that the likes of Danny Cipriani are able to attack in a dominant fashion. With the likes of Slater, Polledri and Ackermann they have some powerful members in the pack.

It will be interesting to see Owen Farrell and Danny Cipriani go head to head and with the added narrative of Cipriani being left out of the England training squad this will be an interesting battle.

Saracens have looked very strong so far and the game on Sunday should be a really close and competitive match. I think that Gloucester might just edge it in a high scoring tight game. I think Danny Cipiani will be out to prove himself as the best fly-half in England and this will really drive his team on.

Richard Wiggles-worth will become the player with the most games in the premiership with 266 games. What an achievement. A great player and an integral member of the Saracens squad.

It has been a thrilling start to the season with countless tries scored and remarkable finishes. This game looks set to continue in this fashion. It should be a thriller.
