Worcester vs Bath - The Preview

Worcester welcome Bath to the Sixways stadium tomorrow night for what is likely to be a great game of rugby. 11th placed Worcester put on a great performance last week against Saracens, winning a try bonus point, but failed to topple Saracens. Bath played Wasps and were lucky not to get beaten by more than they were and sit 6th in the league at the moment.

Baths season has been up and down like a rollercoaster so far. With big victories over Saracens and Wasps, combined with losses to Northampton, Sale and Newcastle. Bath will be looking to improve their consistency, making failure not an option for tomorrow's game.

Once again Rhys Priestland has been favoured over fan favorite Freddie Burns. Priestland has been on form so far this season and will make his 50th appearance in the Worcester game. A great achievement.
Bath welcome the injured Ben Tapuai back to the inside centre slot whilst injury still plagues the rest of the squad. Could this be a reason for Baths lack of form so far this season? I am glad to see that Zach Mercer is playing 8 again. He had a really good game against Wasps last week. A young, talented player with a bright future ahead of him.

Worcester have proven that they are a class above the likes of London Irish. I can't see them going down now. With real quality payers in the team Worcester are starting to excel. What I like about the team is that, despite the number of individual talent, the team is able to play together. Against Saracens, the offloads and attacking structure was sound. Could they be a threat to Bath?

Worcester have a number of top players. Josh Adams is one. He is on an incredible try spree. He scores for fun. Hougaard is another top player at the club. It is important for teams to have a good scrum half as everything goes through them. Worcester fans will be hoping that these two players will be on form once again.

If Worcester play against Bath in the same way that they did against Saracens, there could be real trouble for Bath. Bath have not had a great record playing on artificial pitches and last time Bath came to Sixways they lost. If Bath's defence can withstand the attack and Bath turn up wanting to put wrong their poor season then it is going to be a thriller.
