In the hype of the Mayweather McGregor fight it would almost be easy to overlook the fight between GGG and Canelo. However, as it is one of the biggest fights this year for a pure boxing fan I shall not be missing it. The fight is as pure as boxing gets. A true 50 50 fight. A clash of styles. A real excitement. With the winner likely to fight Billy Joe Saunders for the WBO belt, the middleweight division is on fire. This is what boxing is really about. Not about the comical staged dance between Mayweather and McGregor. I have to admit I have been clasped in the excitement of this fight. McGregor has recently been looking better in all of the videos that are posted on social media. Despite this, the true boxing fan would be more excited by the GGG Canelo fight. It is typical Mayweather to have put his fight before this one. I do not believe however that this will impact the ppv figures. I believe that the fight attracts two different audiences. I personally will be watching both! It's a great time to be a boxing fan.
