Chris Eubank Junior has beaten the hard man of the super middle weight division. With 10 years age difference there was no doubt that Eubank should have won this fight and he did. With style. For much of the fight I thought that Abraham was not throwing enough punches. Perhaps he thought that Eubank would tire himself out? He did not. Eubank kept coming throughout the fight. Abraham took a lot of punches but his strong guard meant that many of Eubanks punches did not land in places that would have hurt Abraham, but you still need to throw punches to win a fight. With this win Eubank has got himself a place in the World Boxing Super Series quarter final vs Turkeys Avni Yildirim. George Groves is another British boxer in the competition and Eubank could face him in the semi final if both men win their fights. This would see one of them lose their belts because the series still counts as championship fights. The winner of the series will win the Muhammad Ali trophy and also around £50 million. I'm amazed that the possibility of Abraham being part of this series did not inspire him to fight seriously this evening.
