Mayweather vs McGregor

Mayweather vs McGregor. The biggest fight that this generation is likely to see. One of boxing's pound for pound greatest. With a record of 49 wins and 0 losses it is hard for anyone to see Mayweather lose this fight. There is arguably no better defensive fighter than Mayweather and this could therefore lead to the humiliation of the biggest MMA star. McGregor is an exciting fighter to watch. His southpaw stance and strong left punch could be an issue for Mayweather who has notoriously struggled fighting against southpaws. Both fighters are known for their pre-match trash talk and as a fan this will be very entertaining to watch. As with many fights this is where I believe that the fight will be won or  lost. If Mayweather goes into the fight without recognizing the danger that McGregor poses and goes in with the confidence that he will play with McGregor then that is when McGregor could land that killer left hand and take Mayweather by surprise. Despite the fact that McGregor has had no professional boxing career he adopts a stand up fighting preference and has powerful punches able of doing serious damage. It is often reported that McGregor has no boxing history. However, when McGregor was 12 years old he learnt to box at Crumlin Boxing Club. It was only when he was 16 that he turned his attention to mixed martial arts. McGregor was said to have 'held his own with world champions' by Packie Collins in the boxing ring. Boxing therefore has had an influence on McGregors fighting style and this fight is going to be one of the greatest sporting spectacles of the year. Although many boxing purists would say that the fight would tarnish boxing, a fight this size bringing in this much money and attention is never a bad thing. Although many people have this few it is almost guaranteed that everyone will be tuning in to watch this.
